Terms of Service
Effective and last updated: July 20, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Melvin Global LLC (“Melvin Global,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to vitremold.com and VitreMold.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By accessing or using VitreMold, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use VitreMold for an organization, you represent that you can bind that organization. You must be legally able to enter this agreement; minors may use the service only with a parent or legal guardian.
2. The service
VitreMold helps convert 3D forms into stained-glass fabrication materials such as patterns, layouts, cutting sequences, edge-preparation recommendations, guides, and printable jig files. Features may be experimental, incomplete, changed, suspended, or discontinued, especially during early access.
3. Fabrication and safety notice
VitreMold provides computational recommendations, not professional engineering, structural, architectural, medical, or occupational-safety advice. Glass cutting, grinding, soldering, chemicals, heat, sharp edges, and 3D printing can cause serious injury, fire, fumes, property damage, or product failure.
You are solely responsible for checking dimensions, material thickness, scale, geometry, print settings, clearances, tool settings, and every generated output before use. Test grinder settings and bevels on scrap glass, verify pieces against printed profiles or jigs, follow material and equipment manufacturers’ instructions, use suitable protective equipment and ventilation, and obtain qualified professional review when a project could affect people, structures, electrical systems, or valuable property. Do not rely on VitreMold as the only safety check.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of models, project data, designs, and other content you provide. You represent that you have the rights needed to use that content and that it does not infringe another person’s rights or violate law. The current browser-only design processes project files locally unless a feature clearly says otherwise.
5. License to use VitreMold
Subject to these Terms, Melvin Global grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use VitreMold for lawful personal or internal business purposes. You may use outputs you generate for those purposes, subject to any rights in your source content and third-party materials.
6. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, interfere with security or operation, introduce malware, scrape or overload the service, bypass access controls, reverse engineer protected portions except where law allows, use the service to infringe rights, or use outputs in an unlawful or intentionally dangerous way. You may not imply that Melvin Global certified or professionally approved your design.
7. Intellectual property
VitreMold, its software, branding, interfaces, documentation, and original content are owned by Melvin Global or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant rights to our names, marks, or technology except for the limited use right above.
8. Third-party services and advertising
The service may link to, integrate with, or display content and advertising from third parties. Their terms and privacy practices govern their services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, availability, or conduct.
9. Beta and feedback
Early-access and beta features may contain errors or produce unsuitable output. If you provide ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant Melvin Global a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use and incorporate that feedback without restriction or compensation.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VITREMOLD AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” MELVIN GLOBAL DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, SAFETY, AND RESULTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUTPUTS ARE ERROR-FREE, FABRICABLE, STRUCTURALLY SOUND, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR MATERIALS, TOOLS, OR PURPOSE.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MELVIN GLOBAL AND ITS AFFILIATES, OWNERS, PERSONNEL, AND PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, MATERIALS, OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM VITREMOLD OR ANY FABRICATION ACTIVITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Melvin Global and its affiliates, owners, personnel, and providers from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your content, projects, fabrication activities, misuse of the service, or violation of these Terms or another person’s rights.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using VitreMold at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or others, address legal or security concerns, or respond to a violation of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Melvin Global LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts with lawful jurisdiction over Melvin Global will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise. Before filing a claim, contact us and give us 30 days to try to resolve the dispute informally.
15. Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and changing the date above. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with our business. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about the service.
